I do design (mostly for tee shirts), and I love what you have been doing with Inkscape (although I must admit that I am still using Illustrator for most of my work). Anyway, is it appropriate for me to post to this list (not being a developer)? I have plenty of thoughts on the things that are being discussed here and on the wiki, but my programming skills are pretty weak.
You're welcome.
On another issue, I've noticed that making an item insensitive does not prevent it from being selected by a rubberband or a shift-click. Is this the intended behavior, or should I submit a bug?
The sensitive/insensitive property of objects is not actively supported at the moment, because we plan to implement layers instead (a layer can be made invisible and/or insensitive) and then perhaps eliminate the per-object sensitivity. However this bug of yours seems to be easy to fix, so please submit it to the tracker and I'll see to it when I have time.
