It may be beneficial to show people doing things, like coding or using inkscape etc.

Well, there are things we can do about that, certainly. Maybe instead of just showing current devs we can show toon figures like these that are users, and testers as well. That expands the community beyond the devs, and in the long-term may encourage more women and racial diversity to come develop the free software with us as well (though, it's my thinking that gender is the bigger issue at this point, from my university Computer Science courses).

The lesson for us is that we lack divesity in the inkscape community
overall (like a lot of foss projects we should work on that). Which I
