PS: For complete information, if I launch the no X-11version of Inkscape, it is fairly unstable like before, and inside that application if I launch preferences it crashes immediatly.
Works for me - last tested with r10632 (GTK+/Quartz 2.24.4, GCC 4.2.1 on Mac OS X 10.5.8 (i386), MacPorts 1.9.2)

- but I do build with the
patches listed in the blueprint (mentioned in earlier reply).
sorry I've missed them. Whitch blueprint?
Assuming that you did not remove (as recommended) the ige-mac-menu.* files and the related #idfefs from the sources:
well, where do i find the right binary? Assuming that the path for sources in my mac port installation (command sudo port install inkscape) is not the path for sources I did try to compile ... and assuming that the binary is in /opt/local/share/inkscape
the sources should be in one f the following directory: /opt/local/var/macports/software /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/inkscape /opt/local/var/macports/sources/rsync.macports.org/release/ports/ graphics/inkscape /opt/local/var/macports/sources/rsync.macports.org/release/ports/ graphics/inkscape-devel
but none seem to contain sources where could I find them ? where do I find sources?
- Did you use the global menubar at the top of the screen (File >
Inkscape Preferences) to open the dialog? 2) If so, does it also crash when using the keyboard shortcut 'Shift+Ctrl+P' or the button on the commands bar instead?
Possibly related: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/721448/comments/8
I used the globlal menubar when as it crashed. Now crash is difficult to reproduce
