win32 compiling works, if I rerun the provided /src/*.pl scripts. I reopened a packaging defect ( 1254657 WIN32: release note not included with the release). I am curious if I am now stll allowed to directly fix packaging and translations in the CVS or if I have to go through patch tracker ?

First prerelease of all the goodness being expected in Inkscape 0.43. This is not recommended for production use, it still has known bugs in it. It is recommended that you download it, play with it, and find more bugs.
If all packagers could try to make packages from this tarball, that would be helpful for removing packaging bugs. I think that I missed some from the last time 'round, so if you could put them in the tracker that would be excellent.
