I think you should not be alarmed by this, Inkscape is fun and fit and this is proved for example by the increased number of images made with it at deviantART. A reason to worry would be why those people don't contribute back at least screenshots and here are various reasons. For example my personal reason is the lack of RPMs for "pre" releases.
