Tarballs are also available via the ubuntu package build system:
https://launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/+archive/ubuntu/trunk/+packages E.g.: inkscape-trunk_0.91.0+devel+13930+58~ubuntu15.04.1.tar.xz
They are linked now. I think it's a good idea to add them, as the lp project page seems not to offer an option to just download the source code without all the bzr revision history (at least as far as I could find). Knowing this exists saves a lot of time for the occasional source code downloader like me :)
Launchpad does offer tarballs (even per revision) - check e.g. here, the links at the top:
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/inkscape/trunk/revision/13931
( download tarball: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/inkscape/trunk/tarball/13931 )

I semi-regularly build trunk versions of Inkscape for Fedora, and as part of this process, I generate the tarballs using "make dist".
I am now uploading these generated tarballs to here: http://inkscapetarballs.ryanlerch.org/
for people to use. Note that these arent auto-generated or nightly by any stretch of the imagination, but will just appear there when i run a new trunk build for Fedora.
