You didn't specify a version. Does this mean it works with every version of GSL ever released? What's the oldest version that the code works correctly with? How old is this version? Which versions of which Linux distros does it stop us from being compatible with?

I tested it against GSL 1.9.2 on a Mandriva Linux 2008 distro. I suspect that it works with erlier GSL release too.
