It appears that Ctrl+Alt+Click to create/delete nodes didn't make it into the rewrite. When I'm using the Node Tool, that command for both of those operations are definitely preferred for me. If you are unfamiliar with this shortcut, try it in the Gradient Tool (it works the same to create/delete gradient stops).
Arcadie, I really hope that this same command gets added to the Connector Tool for creating/deleting connection points on a selected object. This would really make sense for consistency between tools and usability.
