Is there anyone slightly local who might be up to making SVG Open and giving a talk or teaching a class? I'm going to see what I can do, but the more people we have getting involved the better. And as we saw at SCALE, with different people submitting proposals on different subjects, there's a better chance of at least something matching the need and being accepted.
Additionally, is there anyone who might be able to make it to man a booth? From things like SCALE and LugRadio Live I've seen how just having *anyone* there can be helpful. In fact, some times the booths manned by people who might not be core developers but who are users and just excited about the project can be some of the best.
Thanks, and I hope we get a few more people stepping up, despite the deadline being so close. :-)
Dang. I'd certainly be interested in attending, and I might have some presentation topics up my sleeve, too... But it would seem, I have just that week booked up months ago. (it's the week before lectures start at Helsinki university, so I'll be busy showing the place around for our new students. Or actually, arranging that.)
