Thanks for the answer. That's new behavior so it should be in the release notes (in v0.46 it worked for both the Pencil and Pen tools in regular mode). I'll add it later if no one else does.

Drawing dots with the Pen and Pencil tools seems to be broken with 0.47. Does anybody else see this? (Hold Ctrl key down while clicking with the mouse.)
