[Inkscape-devel] Using imagemagick or graphicmagick as importer

Hi, I've been playing around about idea to provide support for Image/Graphicsmagick in inkscape. So we could import 88 Vector- and Imageformats used (http://www.graphicsmagick.org/www/formats.html or http://www.imagemagick.org/www/formats.html) but i been wondering should it been done like ill2svg or something deep cutting in inkscape code? Problem is that SVG output of programs isn't so good it should be. So what do you think? is this just a stupid idea?

ps. ImageMagick provides C++ bindings.. i think graphicmagick does also;)
