i am right now working on a tutorial / faq / compatibility list for the plotting extension, but i am not quite sure where to put it / from where to link it.

Specifically, the tutorials I'm concerned about as part of the release, are the ones that appear in the Help > Tutorials menu in Inkscape itself. Tutorials hosted on the web in general are of course great, but aren't constrained with the release. :-)
