Why? Points are only created upon the first click where pressing Ctrl doesn't make sense anyway because it doesn't have any effect.
When I draw something with Ctrl, I usually just hold it pressed all the time, not only press when I need to constrain something. It's much easier this way, but dots are then really getting in the way.
Ah, I see. But isn't the Pen tool more suited for creating axis-aligned lines anyway, so that we can at least retain the dot-drawing functionality in the Pencil tool? I feel a bit sorry for not having it available there any more. ;-)
