Dear inkscape developers,

I excessively searched the forums for my question but found no complete answer.

So I hope you don’t mind me asking you directly. The problem is importing eps into inkscape

under Windows XP. The extension-errors.log says for  "EPS Input" that  "gs" is not found.

Since I already have gs installed, I additionally put it into PATH but that didn’t help.

Could you tell me what to do to get the extension (and the others, too) work?

Is it sufficient to install the applications and put them into PATH or does inkscape need

libraries (dlls under windows)? If yes, where to get them without recompiling?

Or do I have to recompile inkscape for extending it?

You would greatly help me if you could explain me how the extension mechanism

works so that I can install the necessary extensions.
