The wiki has been used as a spill-over for the website for a while. My understanding is that there are many pages which need to be moved from the wiki to the website. Now that we have a CMS, that process can happen. (pages shouldn't be deleted until the website is live)
Although the wiki is still very useful for drafting, scratching and documentation. So we still need it :-)
