Would be cool to add a universal "size" controller verb/action.
This would be a unified hotkey-bound method for increasing/decreasing the most used value for the tool in the mode selected.

For example:

Ctrl+Alt+mousewheel could have these effects:

In text tool: Increase/decrease font size
In select mode: increase/decrease line-width
In node tool: expand/decrease selected node group by one node on either side of the selection(s). < This is something that Blender has that I really miss working  in Inkscape.
In Tweak tool: increase/decrease size of the brush (width)
In Magnifying tool: ? (maybe rotate canvas in the future)
Measure tool: Increase/decrease font size
Rectangle, 3D boxes and Circle and arc, star, and spiral tools: Change line width.
Draw, Bezier, and caligraphic tools: Change line width/brush width.
Spray tool and eraser: width
Fill tool: Increase/decrease threshold

Etc.

I believe this would be a great workflow-streamlining time-saver as well as convenience item, and If folks are interested in this I'd love to have it included as a topic.

You don't have to be participating in the hackfest to add things!

Thanks,
