
(it seems that this Save as/Export discussion pops up every now and then dies out again. perhaps no-one really cares enough about essentially a change of wording? :)
Haven't thought too much about this, but think this will help the discussion:
To add an argument in favor of the current situation: one can open a PDF document, change it a bit, and then save it again *with Ctrl+S* without going to SVG or opening an export dialog.
To counter the accidental saving to "improper" format: note that if you saved to an "improper" format, there is a warning dialog upon closing the document.
