I agree that theming from whitin the program is unessesary bloat. But it would be nice to have specific icon themes for the windows and osx builds, (much like Firefox has) to let them blend in with the rest of to the enviorment better.
We're doing all that we can with the gtkmm to conform to existing standards with the toolbar stuff. However, so far we've not seen docs on how icon theming is done.
Can you please do some research and see if you can scare up some officialish documentation on toolbar theming with Gtkmm for us? We're about to a point where we could start implementing it if we had the docs on hand.
Note that we're not using glade or other highly GNOME-specific libs, so would prefer directions that didn't require adopting some new libs.
