Only as a workaround. There is a somewhat popular demand to export
selections to TIFF, JPEG, SVG, EPS and even PDF. That means you can't
just  'Save a copy' like now, you need to extend functionality of the
existing dialog. I really am not sure that UC would be of any help
here.

Advanced TIFF export is developing first of all for sK1 to support CMYKA images.
UniConvertor will get this feature automatically. Concerning 'Selection only' option,
this is Inscape issue but not UniConvertor. As far as I know Inkscape pass temporal
SVG file for UC. So what you save there is what you get in output but additional
options like color profiles, DPI, image size etc. could be passed through command
line options.
