i don't see a problem with that.
inkcut is clearly targeted against professionals where it has many features for mass production, whereas my implementation is aimed at a beginners / intermediate level where the tool tries to do as much as possible automatically and is much easier to handle (i even began to write it because most tools out there are much to complicated to handle).
also inkcut has at least dependencies to 3 3rd party frameworks, whereas mine has (at least under linux) no dependencies.
i see it more like both products pretty good complement each other.
for most users my tool is sufficient for most usages, but i could even imagine telling the user to use inkcut if the user needs more advanced features.
