In revision 9288 I fixed the inverted coordinate system bug, starting from a patch by Thomas Holder. https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/170049
While this is a rather invasive change, fixing bugs caused by removing the coordinate inversion is simple (often it boils down to tweaking a single line of code), so I think we'll manage to fix any remaining regressions before the release.
Guides are wrongly positioned when opening older documents [1] in current builds (r9290):
- objects previously aligned to guides no longer are because horizontal guides are positioned relative to the new origin (e.g. from the upper left corner down) but the objects themselves keep their position. - diagonal (45°) guidelines seem to be displaced even more then horizontal ones (not seen in the attached test file) - vertical guides have their origins moved
My expectation is that after changing the ui coordinate system the guides are still aligned with / stay at the same position relative to the objects.
