I did not get the three plugins working. I think they are not installed properly, which might be the effect of disabling them.

Those effects were the ones that were implemented as plugins -- and to be entirely honest -- plugins didn't work as well as I thought that they did. The entire plugins implementation has been removed, waiting for Ishmal's DOM stuff to make them more reasonable. I imagine that the same error won't occur with CVS where they are now built into the code base.
