I gather from the description that Alexander gave that the new version includes Python binaries; if this is so then we should be able to just chuck that bit away and use ours.  If it really is that big and we can't do anything about it then I don't think we should upgrade it; Inkscape is already far too big.  (Though with UPX compression as in the portable build I was able to get it down from 200+ MB to ~86MB - still too big in my opinion.)
