Hi,
The Inkscape Board is considering sending a group of Inkscape developers to the Gnome Users and Developers conference (GUADEC)[1] to work on the migration from Gtk2 to Gtk3. The conference takes place in Karlsruhe, Germany. The core conference is from August 12th-14th. Hackfests are scheduled August 15th-17th.
Before we can decide on sending developers we need to:
1. Identify which Inkscape developers could go. Developers should have some basic experience with Gtk2 and Gtk3 programming.
2. Identify who the developers would work with (which Gtk experts at GUADEC would be available for help).
3. Which migration issues would be tackled.
If you are interested in participating please respond to this email. If you have comments, please respond to the email and/or add them to either the Gtk3 migration wiki page[2] or the Gtk3 Hackfest wiki page[3].
