I think when you will get added as a developer, that will change (or
someone needs to change the settings for looking at merge requests for
the Inkscape project).

It's a bit silly that one cannot see at least one's own merge requests,
with the current settings. Partially, that's a gitlab issue - why not
always allow access to your own merge requests, even if you cannot see
*all* merge requests? It doesn't make a lot of sense there :-/
