I propose we give a crazy extension to it or put it on hold. My thought is that we can aim for the calendar to be ready for the middle of '06. We could then make it an 18-month calendar that will go through the end of '07. Doing this will give everyone time to work on new pieces and refine older ones. We'll also get better quality entries and hopefully people will get other great features to work with in the interim as well.
I don't think that just extending it for a shorter period of time will do anyone any good. If we're going to associate Inkscape with any fund raising merchandise, we should aspire to give people their moneys worth. Any thoughts?
Indeed, the time was very short and extending one more week or so will not make a big difference. But the people i know shop for calendars _only_ at the beginning of a new year, i assume in other parts of the world people do the same, so i doubt the usefulness of publishing one in the summer.
If the problem is that we don't have enough quality submissions, maybe we can consider images form the about dialog contest.
