A better documentation of the release process would help in preventing
the delays in the future. (e.g. how to build all the different
versions of Windows and OSX packages, and how to upload those files to
Launchpad).
Agreed. I will start working on some of that next week and post a skeleton of my understanding of some things and ask others to fill in what they do at each of those steps.
