
The "just get used to it" argument is good only for people that can use a single program. I use plenty of programs and all of them implement the same old, widely-accepted-and-expected paradigm for File->Open and File->Save as... This means "switching your mind" whenever you move from a program to another. How can you develop a strong and safe behavior if every single program does such a basic operation in its way? You can't say you worry about user's data safeness and still ignore such obvious considerations. Do you know how many times I absently hit the F1 key in a program and open the Help window? It's Inkscape's fault.
