Yes, even though it would be better to have it in the same area so that
you're familiar in this particular area, it's not required, the general
idea is that we know you're familiar with the basics of compiling
Inkscape, finding your way in the codebase and submitting patches for
review

Would be good for March 31, but if they are ready and not merged at this
point, it's fine. Firm deadline will be at the yet unspecified time we
will do the selection & ranking of applicants.
