ok done. I noticed you (or someone) changed the links on the downloads page so thats fine. just a thought: aaron negotiated the hosting with his provider and the home page has some modified inkscape logo to give visibility to modevia as a host http://inkscape.modevia.com/ linking directly to the downloads skips the logo and modevia might not like this. so aaron is it ok to link directly or should the link points to the home page? (maybe all the Development Versions part of Inkscape website could just be one link to the homepage of modevia for compiled packages?)
Heh, yeah. I changed the links. Modevia has made no requirements of us. I branded the home page and used a modevia.com subdomain out of thankfulness. Direct links as of now still promote modevia in the url. If we as a group decide it is appropriate, perhaps a small blurb on the download page would be sufficient. I'm not real anxious to get into endorsements, but I do think nominal appreciation of service rendered is important.
ok, no pb then. I also think it is important to thank modevia appropriately because the service is great (and the download speeds are great too... if only I could compile inkscape to add some new stuff there ;-) ). I'll be for a replacement of the Development part of the downloads page by a link to modevia, with a logo.
