In my humble opinion, people who request this sort of thing should

1) volunteer to become release managers;
2) deliver on that.

I actually already do that, but not for the Inkscape project but for the Firebug project, which already takes all my spare time.
So I was in the hope somebody of the current Inkscape team would feel responsible for this task.

As the 0.91 release was already more than a year ago, I'm gently asking again, any plan in doing official releases more frequently?
Also, linking to the roadmap and updating it regularly plus blog posts about new features would give users an insight of what got fixed and what's new and upcoming.

While I am currently not involved in the Inkscape development at all, I have some experience with release processes and may help to define a proper development and release cycle.
