This is coming up with bandwidth issues from geocities for me...

BTW Michael, it would help very much if you could work directly on the tango icons that are in svn because importing those shared gradients in the final document will likely result into problems (or maybe you did already and just deleted the layers which did not contain tango icons in the file you sent here?).
The original file is there: http://inkscape.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/*checkout*/inkscape/inkscape/trun... Then you can make a copy of the original state, modify another copy and send me (or someone else, or send to launchpad, ...) patches of your changes: diff old-file.svg new-file.svg > icons.patch (that is, if you don't want to use subversion). This would be easier and quicker and, most importantly, more reliable, than copy/pasting between your file and the one in svn.
Thanks in advance and thanks for your work.
BTW, my opinion on the icons is: - I like the aspect of most of them - I do not really like the reflection on the oval tool - previous icon set was blue-ish so I would say keep the shapes in the menu icons blue too. When contrast is needed you blue-yellow choice looks good to me - keep the selection marker (dotted line around objects) the same color everywhere. preferably black to represente what is on the canvas, red otherwise - Tango guidelines advise perpective on objects to be frontal, i.e. you're facing them directly. hence the perspective on the layers need to be changed - not sure about the new bottom-top layer icons i would expect them to be used for objects rather than for layers and to use something different for the layers (actually something more along the line of what was used for objects before) - I think I preferred the old paradigm for the rotate-* and flip-* icons - grid should look like a grid rather than dots since it is the default - use grey instead of purple maybe? (i don't like purple ;) )
Anyway, keep up the good work.
