- I haven't tried it on win32 or Mac OS X, so I'm not sure about the compatibility. It used to require some gnome only libraries, but it doesn't anymore from what I know.
gdl 0.7.2 is available on Mac OS X via DarwinPorts so it should not be a problem to get it. On the other hand, it still requires many gnome packages to be installed (gnome-session, gnome-desktop, nautilus, metacity, evolution-data-server etc.). Basically it requires to install the whole gnome desktop and it may be a bit overkill just to have dockable windows... too bad.
