Hi,
Probably I should split this email into two emails, but here it goes :)
1. Is there any particular reason for having fixed minimum size of Inkscape's window? For example, when Commands toolbar is hidden, Inkscape still thinks it's shown and makes it impossible to decrease width of the window. As a result, here the minimum width of window is 948 px, which may be okay for regular using (not in all cases), but clearly not okay for screenshots in documentation (think about screenshooting toolbars). Is it limitation of Gtk toolbars in common? Will splitting Commands toolbar into two or more mini-toolbars help?
2. There is a wasted space between toolbar's handle and the first item in Tools toolbar (the context sensitive one), see attached screenshot. That doesn't happen in case of Selector. Can we do something about it?
