I still think the eraser deserves is place as a standalone tool.
regardless how similar the implementation is to the calligraphy pen. its a more logical placement for the tool that first time and existing users will look to for it.
having the calligraphic tool over the same functionality is great however.. think reverse sides of tablet pens.
