It's probably too late for 0.48.1 but here are two regressions I've just found:
- It is no longer possible to scale/rotate patterns used to fill text
(related to changing the snap point for text?).
Reproduced with Inkscape 0.48.0 and 0.48+devel r9860 on OS X 10.5.8 Possibly not implemented in the new node tool?
