Regarding the upload processes, be aware there are two separate processes - one for "official" builds such as pre-release candidates and the releases themselves, and another process for doing automated daily builds.
I (or one of the other Inkscape admins) can set up your sourceforge account, which you'll need to be able to post packages for the first process.
It would be wise to do this, but I don't want to tread on Michael's toes.
Don't worry about treading on my toes. It's better that I'm not the only one able to do this. We should just make sure we know who's doing what come release time, so as to avoid duplication of effort.
I want to give a big thank you to ALL the packagers. I hope my earlier comments didn't minimize Michael's work or anyone elses - to be honest I haven't been very good about reading the OSX threads, but I do know the users *really* depend on the work of the OSX packagers, and I've seen that a LOT of work has gone on to get Inkscape on OSX stable and usable.
For the 0.43 release, it'll be great to see how the OSX packaging team works together. It was fun seeing the linux and windows packagers get organized, and I know OSX users expect much tighter, cleaner integration than other platforms, so OSX could be the most interesting packaging challenge yet. :-)
