for the news, i think your best option is to use the RSS feeds (for example http://inkscape.org/wp-feed.php?feed=rss2) and have those feeds translated and aggregated on linuxgraphic.org, is the best way for everybody: you have to translate the most precise set and the readers get the news in a convenient way.
