That's one of the usability problems with the new dialog. As far as I understand, it determines the save type by the extension. But I honestly don't know how one selects plain SVG :( I think we need a file type selector back. Ishmal?
Ah, okay. Well, I can't work on this unless I figure out a way to short-circuit that dialog or get the pull-down added.
