Thanks for trying. Now I'm at home, I cannot reproduce it either: neither on Fedora 7, nor on Windows XP. Do you have any ideas how to get a trace?

BTW, what's the brand of the video card? Maybe it's a driver issue because it crashes while drawing the screen. The preview window shows the file just fine. I don't know what to deduce from this observation though, apart from the file not being corrupted :-)

You were clear; I tried to explain why gdb debugging won't work
without knowing the 'file loading through cmdline' trick :-)

I just tried loading your file with rev.15987 and had no problems...
Try again with today's build?
