[Inkscape-devel] Undoable Revert?

Would it be difficult to make it so that you can Revert without destroying the Undo History? Make it so that you can revert and then be able to undo the revert?

For one thing it would get rid of the need to interrupt the user with a prompt, and having recently used some Adobe software I have found it to makes the workflow much smoother (try something, revert, try something else, repeat...). Why throw away information if you can avoid it?
