Hi, Thanks for the patch! The normal procedure would be to first file a bug report at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/ The bug report should contain: which OS, which version of Inkscape, plus steps to reproduce. Then, at some point, the bug report would be confirmed independently by someone else, and the patch would be submitted to the bug report for testing.
