I'd love to pay for features development in inkscape!
Hi Inkscape developers!
There is an old open ticket about gradient banding issues in Inkscape -
https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/180693 - and the Fedora Design
Team hit it pretty hard when putting together the Fedora 25 background
in Inkscape. It's a difficult problem because there aren't many
workarounds. We weren't able to fully remove the banding in our final
version.
We're designers without much development experience so we can't fix the
problem, but we have a lot of interest in doing whatever we can to help.
One of our team members suggested trying a crowdfunding approach like
Krita has done, e.g. -

I wanted to run this idea by you and see what you think about it. We
don't want to apply any unwanted pressure, and realize anyone taking on
the bug who isn't already a part of your team would need mentorship /
help from you, so I don't think it'd be a good idea to try this unless
you were willing to be involved.
Let me know what you think about this, or if you have any other ideas on
how we might be able to help!
