some suggestion for the person compiling those examples are listed inline:

Ideally, the site should have a listing of different types of things that can be made with Inkscape, with each having a link to a set of pages describing that thing. (Sort of like a woodworking magazine article showing how to build a cabinet.) For example:
- Web site design
such an example already exists: http://www.inkscape.org/screenshots/examples/web_design/
- CD booklet
i made once such a drawing but abandoned it because i was not able to find an easy way to print it. i may have the file buried somewhere in my computer at work, will dig for it in a couple of days.
- Portrait
this kind of portraits? http://www.nicubunu.ro/faces/ the intention is to publish it to openclipart.org but have not done so for two reasons: 1) i want to add a few more 2) i'm not sure if i can publish those images without an accord from subjects, they are no celebrities but are real people. those images are made by hand-tracing some pictures (pictures made by me or some of my relatives - friends, co-workers).
- Presentation
- Cross-stitch pattern
- Icon set
openclipart.org host not one but three icon sets made in inkscape
- Landscape design
- Org chart
- Company logo
- etc.
