not in any way a critical issue, possibly off-topic, but are there any plans
for developing a rev number for Inkscape? currently the rev number is
reported as:
...\InkscapeGit\inkscape\build\inkscape>inkscape -V
Inkscape 0.92+devel unknown

or, alternatively, are there any plans for using tags? currently the tags
are reported as:
...\InkscapeGit\inkscape>git describe --tags
INKSCAPE_0_92_PRE1-1670-gcf457ee
