There's also I snapping bug which I have introduced a few days ago, which could be causing this. Sorry :-(

Please turn of snapping or go back a few revisions, I'll try to solve this tonight...

I've just been noticing a very similar thing with the latest build. It
was a file with linked images that were clipped, though, and lots of
clones. I had no problems with the previous build I was using (about a
week old), then I updated yesterday and whenever I try to move the group
of stuff it crashes. Every time. I might file a bug if it persists
through the next build.

Crashbugs are my specialty ;) so I tried to open the file and see the
crash, but "unfortunately" it does not crash for me (SVN rev 16565).
If it is grids that are crashing: I fixed this pretty recently (last
friday, rev 16544), so you might need to SVN up?

I can't reproduce it with latest SVN indeed so I guess it's OK.
Latest SVN crashed on me again on a different operation but I cannot
reproduce it and can't find a crash log so... Basically, as for the
first one, it was based on a document with embedded bitmaps and lots
of chained clones and Inkscape crashed when editing a duplicate of a
group of clones (yes I like doing complicated stuff ;) )

Anyway, thanks for the replies and I'll try to get a better crash
report next time.
