What resolution should we use while *shooting* the video? the sample is 640 x 360 but i guess you reduced it after editing. My current screen resolution is 1024x768, it's that OK?
Hi,
Thanks for the offer to help with the video. Your resolution should be fine - I did export the video at a small size, because I don't think we need a super high resolution video for something like this. It also means people can contribute even if they work on small screen resolutions...
• 5 second shot of Inkscape with docked dialogs open and a nice illustration being worked on
I have two illustrations. One is incomplete, it has a lot of shading using blur, spiros, gradients and clipping paths recreting a splash of pink milk shake. The other has a simpler graphic style but it's more finished. It uses pattern along path extensively for the borders of the illustration (a cow) and pattern along path on top of stich-subpathes (for recretaing of grass). It uses a clone too. Which one should I use?
Do you have your illustrations online somewhere we can see them?
• 3 second shot of Inkscape being used on Windows (XP/Vista/7) - full-screen recording with taskbars visible
I can help you with this. Anything special I should be doing or just the open window?
Great - if you could be working on an image (a different one) that would be perfect.
• 3 second close-up of pen tool or caligraphy tool in use
I can help you there.
Thanks.
• 4 seconds of something representing community - any suggestions?
The community is splinted on the wiki, mailing list, launchpad and inkscape forum. So... maybe just small shots of them?
Maybe this could wait until we've got more pages done on the website redesign then...
Cheers, and thanks for your help! Hinerangi Courtenay (duckgoesoink)
