I implemented the page shadow as options.pageshadow and made the default size 2 pixels, but if it is 0, it is not constructed at all. I used the max/min value function that Bulia built so that there are not errors on what people put in by hand.
That was really easy and see no reason why not too have it as a pref. The pref file is pretty small still.

What about percentage of the full screen?
Don't think it's a good idea. The shadow must be easily recognizable so as to easily differentiate it from objects. A physically constant size is important for that recognizability.
