Hi guys,

Ahh, ok, now I understand...
By removing hicolor with the new scalable icons the PNGs get used again.

Yep, all worked around. Now I can continue to be an advocate for Inkscape at
the places I work. I think you can imagine showing off Inkscape with blurry icons
probably wasn't the best way to impress people :)

Speaking about impressing people:
Any dev working on Inkscape has my total admiration! I hope that I may one day
get to your level of sophistication.
Which is a way of saying keep up the good work!

Thanks for replying.

André

In the latest build from source on OSX (rev 21007) 95% of all user
interface icons continue to be totally blurred.

I submitted a screenshot in an earlier thread which, if it interests
you, can be viewed here:

I understand that this is probably not at the top of the priority list.

For me it's near top priority because I'm the one who introduced those
changes, but I haven't had time to do anything Inkscape-related recently. I
also don't have a Mac or know anyone who has one though and this problem
isn't as severe on other systems.

For now you can see whether removing the hicolor directory from Inkscape's
icons directory fixes things.

Andre, I'm actively working on that at the moment.

One thing to do is remove the hicolor directory. However there was some
code done to render and cache images that got removed and needs to be
restored. Once I get that fixed in a clean way, all should be good
again.
