What I am doing is to put a canvas behind the item/s I want to export, which in some cases is more useful. 1� I get a color background 2� I get the color I want as background.
You can have bg color without adding extra objects in 0.37. Go to Dalogs > Document options and set the bg color/transparency of the page. It will also be used when exporting.
